Instructions for AccuRender 3.1

Please note – these files have been checked for all known viruses.

If you are in any doubt, right click on the files and open them with winzip. (This method is safer) If this is a new installation, you will need to create a new folder on your C: drive. Name the folder Accustudio. If you already have the Accustudio.MLIB installed, use the same folder that Accustudio resides in.

If you use the default location of c:/accustudio, you can use the instructions below as is. However, if you change it, change all of the following references of "c:/accustudio…" to your prefered location.

Install the MLIB file

  • Open the accustudio_mlibxx.zip file with WINZIP and unzip the files to the newly created folder c:/accustudio.
  • Press the Extract button (Unzip the files to c:/accustudio)
  • Navigate to the c:/accustudio folder and click Extract
  •  Select 'Exit' from the File pull down

Install the Maps & Textures

  • Open the accustudio_genmapsxx.zip file and unzip the files to the newly created folder c:/accustudio/maps.
  • Press the Extract button (Unzip the files to c:/accustudio/maps)
  • Navigate to the c:/accustudio/maps folder and click Extract
  • Select 'Exit' from the File pull down

Add the Accustudio paths for new installations only.
If you already have the Accustudio.MLIB installed and working, you DO NOT need to go any further with these instructions.

  • Open AutoCAD and Accurender.
  • From the "Tools" menu, choose "Options"
  • With the "Path Type" set at "General Search" press "Add…"
  • Press the "+" sign next to C: and choose the Accustudio folder.
  • Press "OK"
  • Change the "Path Type" to "Library Search"
  • With the "Path Type" set at "Library Search" press "Add…"
  • Press the "+" sign next to C: and choose the Accustudio folder.
  • Press "OK"

The ACCUSTUDIO library should now be available from within Accurender.

Special Instructions for Revit Users:
  • Open the accustudio_mlibxx.zip file with WINZIP and unzip the files to the newly created folder c:/accustudio.
  • Press the Extract button (Unzip the files to c:/accustudio)
  • Navigate to the c:/accustudio folder and click Extract
  • Select 'Exit' from the File pull down
  • Open Revit
  • From the "Settings" pull down menu choose "options"
  • Select the "File Locations" Tab
  • At the bottom, under "Additional rendering material directories"
  • Click "new", then type or browse to: C:\accustudio

The ACCUSTUDIO library should be available in the "Material Libraries" dialogue.
